How would you feel if our nation’s President or our city’s mayor won his or her election with 98% of the vote? The Huffington Post reported:
Randi Weingarten, re-elected this week for a third term as president of the American Federation of Teachers (AFT) with 98 percent of the vote, wants her 1.5 million members to be open to changes that might improve public schools
Does that sound like union democracy to you or a one-party state? It is time that government employee unions give their rank-and-file members a real choice and a real voice.
